The Mad Sociologist is Still Up and Running

I’VE JUST TAKEN A BIT OF A HIATUS

I know. I know. It’s been a while since I posted last…and a lot has been going on. So what the heck!

To all the people who follow this humble blog, thank you and Happy New Year. I just wanted to send this little note to assure everyone that the Mad Sociologist Blog is still active. I’ve just take some time off to do real life stuff…not the least of which is moving into a new house. New posts are forthcoming.

I do have some great plans for the new year. I will complete the Twisted DNA of Capitalism series, for instance. I will be doing more of my Sociology Classroom series. I was pleasantly surprised that my post on Friedrich Engels became very popular, so I plan on highlighting some important sociological theorists as well. In fact, I would like to spend more time exploring more pure sociology as a field and discipline of study.

Of course, I’m not going to abandon the political and social commentary. I do have a Mad Sociologist in the News feature planned to offer a “Non-Trump” analysis of the Trump Administration. Remember the underlying theme of this blog…it’s not about Trump.

The truth is that I needed some time to recharge my batteries. I’m almost there. I look forward to a great year and would love to have all of this Blog’s fans and followers enjoy it with me.
