It’s Not that Bad!

This latest Mad Sociologist in the News is a response to the heated, dystopian rhetoric that we see from many, admitted not all, Republican politicians and pundits. Most significantly, it is a response to the frenzied and fantastical framing of the former president as he runs for another term.
If this were just a matter of some over-the-top rhetoric, it wouldn’t be newsworthy. However, a significant sector of the population seems to believe the rhetoric and are responding to it accordingly. This is putting people in danger and fueling our uncomfortably and potentially dangerous level of polarization.
